June 6

Sweden's National Day is celebrated on June 6 each year and marks the adoption of a new constitution in 1809, which laid the foundations for the modern system of government. It also coincides with the date of Gustav Vasa's election as king in 1523, symbolizing Sweden's independence.

Celebrate National Day at Gripsholms Värdshus, located at the historic Gripsholm Castle, which Gustav Vasa started building in 1537. Here, in an environment full of history, you can enjoy a celebration that celebrates our cultural heritage and history.
