On Saturdays, we set up an elegant serving of delicate pastries and hearty treats, carefully created by our bakery and pastry shop. Our afternoon tea is taking a summer break and will return on September 12. We look forward to welcoming you back then!

Come sit down for a classic afternoon tea in the heart of Mariefred. In our historic rooms, we serve scones with homemade jams, delicious pastries, and hearty small bites, paired with carefully selected teas. An afternoon where time slows down a bit and every flavor becomes an experience.

Price: 575 SEK per person
Children up to 12 years: 40 SEK per year

Afternoon Tea – small, sweet, and filling

Hearty:

  • Cold green pea soup with radishes and pea shoots
  • Cucumber sandwich and salmon sandwich
  • Västerbotten pie with sour cream, red onion, and chives
  • Shrimp salad on rye bread
  • Lemon cream and asparagus on crispbread
  • Air-dried pork loin from Swedish farms
  • Cheeses: Brie, Sörmlands Ädel from Jürss Dairy
  • Marinated olives
  • Homemade bread from Gripsholm Bakery: scones, croissants, crispbread
  • Accompaniments: butter, cream cheese; whipped cream & lemon curd; marmalade (strawberry, fig, mandarin), jam (blueberry, raspberry)

Sweet:

  • Chocolate balls, vacuum cleaners, biscuits
  • Chocolate cola pie
  • Lemon cake with frosting, coconut, and meringue
  • Mousse cake with raspberries and chocolate
  • Red velvet cake balls
  • (January–February: mini semla)
