In the beautiful dining room you can enjoy the view of Lake Mälaren, while Skänken - the heart of the house - invites you to lunch, dinner and fellowship in a lively environment. Every day, fresh bread and classic pastries are baked in our bakery. There is something for every meal of the day.

Skänken is the heart of the house - a warm and lively part of Gripsholms Värdshus where the smells from the kitchen mix with the buzz from the guests. Here you will find dishes prepared with care, locally produced ingredients and seasonal flavors. The glasses contain everything from local brews to classic wines. Gripsholms Värdshus in Mariefred has an outdoor terrace with outstanding views of Gripsholm Castle and Lake Mälaren.

During the summer months, this is the perfect place for a good lunch, a relaxing coffee or something refreshing in the sun. We also serve freshly baked bread and other delicacies from our bakery and pastry shop.

Welcome to Värdshuset's beautiful dining room with breathtaking views of Lake Mälaren and Gripsholm Castle.

Our food philosophy is based on the variety and diversity of Swedish cuisine, with an ecological approach and awareness of our history. We work closely with local producers and create menus according to season and availability. An a la carte menu is served in the dining room.

Opening hours for the Dining Room:
Monday - Thursday 17:00-20:00
Friday - Saturday 17:00-21:00

The kitchen closes for orders at 20:00/21:00.
