Coming to Gripsholms Värdshus is a bit like coming home. In the past year, I myself have had 13 courses at the Inn, usually 3 days each time. Otherwise, I have lost count of how many times I have been there over 11 years.

The inn is always my first choice because of the great service, the premises, the food and the surrounding environment in Mariefred. Gripsholms Värdshus also tickles my interest in history, both inside the establishment, in conversations with the owner family and the surrounding areas.

My experience is that nothing is impossible to solve, the staff really fix EVERYTHING! In the summer, I often go to the Inn to have a coffee at their outdoor café.

Recommended. In the summer you have a great view of Lake Mälaren when you eat on the terrace. Otherwise, you can eat today's lunch during the week with a reasonable price.

Fantastic rooms in classic style. Proximity to all attractions is a big plus. Gripholms castle within easy walking distance. A guided tour of Mariefred is to be recommended. One hour tour and you have a good overview of the history. Of course, a visit to the castle!
